At Ashford Muslim association, we believe that a mosque should be more than just a place to pray. We strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where Muslims of all ages and backgrounds can come together to learn, connect, and grow. Our facilities include a spacious prayer hall, a dedicated women’s prayer area, and a range of classrooms and meeting spaces for community events and educational programs. We also have a library with a wide range of Islamic books and resources for you to explore.
We offer a range of services to support our local community, including daily prayers, Friday congregational prayers, and regular Quran classes for adults and children. Our knowledgeable and experienced imams are available to answer your questions and provide spiritual guidance.
In addition to our religious services, we also host a variety of social and cultural events throughout the year, including Eid festivities, community iftars during Ramadan, and educational seminars on a wide range of topics.

Ashford Muslim Association Mosque provides a wide range of services and facilities to enable us to meet our commitment and duty to our patrons and community. All services are volunteers led and funding for projects, staff and facilities largely come from the generous donations of the local community. The Masjid is continuously striving to improve and expand the services, facilities and projects for the betterment of the community we serve.
By way of example, some of our objectives are:
- To contribute to the nurturing and strengthening of our community life
- To establish the facilities required to fulfil our religious obligations
- To equip our children, and adults, with the necessary social and religious skills,
Character and knowledge, i.e. to imbue in them a sense of social and moral responsibility A good mix of religious and secular education to aid their personal, social and professional development. As with any broad project, especially with one so extensive, seeking to be comprehensive, providing all the necessary social and religious requirements under one umbrella, it requires a large team of people with numerous skills to keep the organisation moving forward. We are always on the lookout for volunteers and persons with various skills. Plumbing,Computing, building work etc, the list is endless but if you think you have something to offer, nothing is too small or too less even if it is to spend a few minutes cleaning the Mosque,please email us at admin@ashfordmasjid.org or Call on: 01233367898 and we will get back to you as Soon as possible or as and when required.
Financially – The Mosque and its subsidiaries are all principally donation based Organisations and are therefore reliant on the overwhelming generosity of its trustees,Patrons and the Muslim community. Any and all donations are welcome and remember Allah looks at the sincerity and not the amount.
Visiting the Mosque
Visits to the mosque should be booked in advance by telephone, email or in person. Preferred visit times and days are between 10.30 am and 3.30 pm. (Mondays to Thursday) subject to availability.
A usual visit to the mosque consists of the following:
- Multi-media presentation about Islamic faith.
- Q&A and discussion session.
- A guided tour of the mosque building accompanied by a faith guide.
- Observation of one of the daily or special prayer services.
- Interactive activities for school children.
We usually provide snacks or treats for visitors. Please let us know if any visitors suffer from any allergies in this respect. For primary school children, we also have special worksheets prepared about the mosque which they may take back with them. There is also free literature on Islam for all visitors.
General Rules:
All visitors are requested to:
- Respect the peace and prayer of worshippers inside the mosque.
- Remove their shoes in certain specific areas around the mosque.
- Keep food and drinks out of the mosque, except areas that have been designated as eating areas.
- Avoid bringing any animals into the mosque.
- Keep the mosque’s building and courtyard clean by disposing off litter properly and safely.
- Abide by the general rules of the mosque as displayed around the building.
- Avoid smoking in the building and on the mosque’s courtyard.
Please note that we may discontinue any visit if find any disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour and ask visitors to leave the building.
Modest Dress:
- All adult visitors and children above the age of 12 are requested to observe modest dress when visiting the mosque. Most aspects of a standard school uniform are quite appropriate as long as arms and legs are covered.
- Female visitors may cover their heads to show respect to other or shippers or to enrich their own experience.
- Young children under the age of 12 are not considered to be adults and may dress as they do in school unless they wish to adopt any part of
Contributions/Donations:Visits to the mosque are free of charge. However, because the mosque is a registered charity, donations towards our services are always welcome and appreciated. We accept cash, postal orders, and cheques. Please make them-

AMA Membership
Joining Ashford Muslim Association is a matter of completing a form and paying a small fee. So why should you join?
Well in order for AMA and the local authorities to fully cater for our needs and in order for you to be eligible to vote within the AMA. In addition, your fee goes towards the mosque fund.
